GENERAL LEVEL
For students who have covered the Foundation Practice course. In General Level courses, the first two Shadow Yoga Preludes, and basic asana are introduced.
Prelude 1 - Stepping into Strength (Bala Krama) |
The first prelude begins the process of breath stabilisation. With simple rhythmic movements students develop strength and flexibility in the muscles and bones, and learn to steady the mind. |
Prerequisite: Students need a good understanding of the Foundation Practice. |
Prelude 2 - Churning the Shadow Warrior (Chaya Yoddha Sanacalanam) |
The second prelude releases restrictions in the hips and shoulders; and improves circulation of breath, blood, lymph, and prana. Simple seats and yoga asana are introduced. |
Prerequisite: Students need a good understanding of Bala Krama. |
